INTRODUCTIONIn 1998 and 1999, the Non-Governmental Organisation Berlin Transparency International to Cameroon at the first of the countries having the largest corruption perception index in the world. Beyond its epistemological discutabilite this bleak ranking for a State had the merit to lift a pan of sailing on a "serious problem of public morality" in the words of the president of Cameroon (1). The extent of the phenomenon is such that many symposia, conferences, seminars, journals, cells, etc. are dedicated to him. Denounced in chorus by the whole of society, it yet remains haunting, striking and poignant. Both its manifestations, its mutations, its challenges are multiple, multifaceted and not without consequences for a relatively underdeveloped country. Note, however, that no country in the world can claim to be completely free of corruption. "But when corruption takes on proportions as it might constrain economic growth and undermine efforts to achieve good governance, it leads to a general deterioration of the social fabric. Obstacle to sustainable development, corruption can possibly worsen economic disparities and promote crime. "In fact, if corruption grows unhindered, democracy can hardly flourish, freedom spread, justice prevail.It was this factual observation that we propose to analyze again charges the Epiphany of corruption in Cameroon.Accordingly, the highlight of the causes, manifestations, consequences and solutions in Cameroon, is the bulk of our thinking.
